To set up and play Operation, first open the game board and lay out all the pieces. Choose a player to go first. The player must use the tweezers to carefully remove a body part piece from the game board without touching the sides of the opening. If the tweezers touch the sides, the player will hear a buzzing sound and lose their turn.

The player must successfully remove the body part piece and collect the corresponding money amount shown on the game board. The next player takes their turn and continues until all body part pieces have been removed.

The player with the most money at the end of the game wins. Remember to handle the tweezers carefully and focus on a steady hand to successfully remove the body part pieces without setting off the buzzer. Good luck and have fun playing Operation!

How to set up the game Operation?

  1. Unpack the game board and place it on a flat surface. Make sure the game board is turned on and the batteries are working.
  2. Place all of the ailment cards face down on the designated spaces on the game board.
  3. Place all of the game pieces, including the tweezers and 12 "Funatomy" parts, within easy reach of all players.
  4. Each player should choose a colored pair of tweezers to use during the game.
  5. Decide who will go first and take turns playing in a clockwise direction.
  6. The player whose turn it is must draw an ailment card and try to extract the corresponding "Funatomy" part without touching the edges of the space with the tweezers.
  7. If the player successfully removes the "Funatomy" part without touching the edges, they get to keep the card. If they touch the edges, the game piece will buzz and the player loses their turn.
  8. The game continues with each player taking turns until all of the ailment cards have been extracted.
  9. The player with the most ailment cards at the end of the game is declared the winner.
  10. Pack up the game by placing all the game pieces and cards back in the box for easy storage until the next time you play.

How to select a patient card in Operation?

To select a patient card in the game Operation, follow these steps:

  1. Shuffle the patient cards so they are randomly mixed up.
  2. Lay the patient cards face down on the playing surface.
  3. Each player takes turns flipping over a patient card until one is chosen.
  4. The player who selected the patient card must continue with that patient for the duration of the game.
  5. Place the chosen patient card in a visible location near the game board for easy reference.

Remember, the goal of the game is to successfully perform surgery on the patient depicted on the card without setting off the buzzer. Good luck!
